School Security
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School has a responsibility for providing a safe and secure environment for our students and staff. To ensure the safety of our building, a school security system was installed in February 2005.
Our school is secured at all hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Access to the school building is granted by an ID badge for authorized personnel only. For those without an ID badge, access is granted by pressing a security system button at our entrance. The school office monitors this entrance and will approve all requests for entry.
All employees of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School must display their badges at all times while on the premises. Visitors and volunteers must report to the school office for a pass as they enter the school building.
The office hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday thru Friday. The class times for grades K-5 are 8:25am - 3:10pm and for grades 6-8 are 7:35am - 2:40pm. Students are asked to enter the building through the southwest or southeast doors located at the school playground. Students will not be able to enter the building through the front entrance as these doors are secured. If your child is late arriving at school they can follow procedure for visitors and volunteers described above.
At times, students will have larger items and special projects needed for class. Parents can bring these items to the office. Students can pick these up when they come into the building for their morning classes.
Teachers will walk their class to the front doors at the end of the day and will make certain all students are dismissed unless they ride the bus.
Our goal at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is to ensure each and every child can learn in a school environment that is safe and secure.
