Bishop's Appeal 2020

Bishop's Appeal by the Numbers

The Bishop’s Appeal reaches out and impacts the lives of thousands of people every year.  Here are some interesting facts to illustrate how the Diocese inspires disciples, and how the Bishop’s Appeal is making a difference in the lives of all of us:

53     Catholic schools shared our faith (47 elementary, 6 high school)
156     Parishes celebrated liturgies throughout the year
930     Couples were joined in marriage
2,698     Members of our Diocese passed away
1,995     Adults and young people were confirmed
2,481     Children and adults received First Communion
2,507     Infants and adults were Baptized
11,371     Students participated in Catholic Schools
15,603     Students took part in Religious Education classes
284,364     Catholics worshiped in Diocesan parishes

In each of these areas the Bishop’s Appeal impacts the ministries that inspire disciples.

OLOL Parish Mission Statement:  "The Catholic Community of Our Lady of Lourdes offers a holy place to worship God, where all people are welcome, as we journey together in faith to live out the love of Jesus Christ”.

OLOL Vision:  "A thriving parish, where all are needed, welcomed, and excited by engaging ourselves in the life of the parish, following the example of the First Christians, giving witness to the Gospel of Christ."
